Portia Pope, MPA, MS, PMP, LSSGB, Portia is a skilled solution-driven leader, managing complex milestones while adapting to changes and shifting priorities as needed. Portia brings more than 23 years of leadership and management experience in Head Start and Early Head Start in the areas of program director, management consultant, and training and technical assistance. Effective at coaching, inspiring, and motivating employees to achieve results. She brings expertise in early childhood education, curriculum and instruction and classroom practices. Portia currently serves as Director for the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services’ Children’s Developmental Services Agency. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership Studies at N.C. A&T University.
Diana Lloyd, M.S., (she/her), Diana is the owner of Reflective Teaching LLC, an organization that specializes in professional development, coaching, coursework, content development, data collection and consultation in early care and education. Diana lives with her family in Raleigh, NC and describes herself as a food fan, happy traveler, and wannabe ballerina. Diana brings 30 years of experience in early care and education and 18 years of experience as a mentor, coach, faculty member, project administrator, trainer, CLASS data collector and specialist. She has accomplished many milestones, completing CLASS Observations for over 400 Infant, Toddler, Pre-K classrooms, maintaining CLASS reliability and CLASS affiliate licenses for 10 years, and delivering Infant, Toddler and Pre-K CLASS Observer Trainings to over 400 participants.
